After this statement, I’m starting to wonder if Obama’s church is being paid by Hillary’s campaign:
Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe.
Well, no, really, it’s not “because he has preached a social gospel.” It’s how he did it, damning America and vilifying Israel and such, that is causing character to be called into question.
I also find it remarkable that the term “African American Church” is used multiple times in the church’s statement. I thought they were a Christian church. Christ didn’t preach division of the races. Now just what would happen if we had anything even close to Rev. Wright’s statements coming from the pastor of a “Caucasian American Church?”
One of the commenters on that thread nailed it perfectly:
Just words? When he made his debut on the national political scene, Obama told us there was no black America, no white America, just America. Now we learn that there is a black America and a black American culture that damns America and white American culture. Do you really think American voters are going to stand for that?
