We All Do It Differently

I know this is a bit old, but you can see just how emotional J.P. is in this video.  Clearly he hadn’t been quite ready to come out on his own yet.  Still, the strength he had to brace himself and forge on should be an example in courage to young closeted queers everywhere.

Good for him.

While National Coming Out day was last week, it’s good to remember that we all need to come out when we’re ready, not when someone else decides it for us.  That can be any day, any place, any situation.  It’s all up to you.  And if you have the opportunity and strength do come out on a hugely rated TV show, then all I can say is wow.  Damned good for you.
