What A Difference A Day Makes

Oh how these ladies put the men to shame.  There were some terrific performances last night, and whoever made the decision to end the show with Melinda Doolittle knew what they were doing.  Way to end on a high note.  You better believe she’s a W-O-M-A-N.  She made me believe it.  Testify!

I don’t mean to be fickle here, but I’ve moved from my assumption two weeks ago that Lakisha was going to win to really, really, really hoping that Melinda wins.  That girl needs her own show, album, and clothing line.  DAMN, girl.

Of course, that wasn’t the only credible performance.  I was particularly fond of Gina Glocksen’s rendition of an Evanescence song as well:

Randy was right.  It is a completely different show when the girls perform from when the boys do.

  1. I really liked her singing and her stage presence was nice, but when the camera did close-ups of her face, she just seemed to have such a dead visage that it turned me off. Mind you, Lakisha’s sort of got a similar problem, but Melinda’s face just seemed so totally unrelated to the animated smile of the pre-song interview that it was creepy.

Er, not that I would waste my time watching something as frivolous as American Idol.

  2. Pretty good but she fell a bit flat toward the end. Kinda Joan Jette-ish though. Not as good as Melinda, though.
